The Details
The challenge will take place in English with some French support available.
When
Wednesday, June 25, 2025
9 am MT – 3 pm MT
Where
Teams may participate remotely OR on-site at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity* during the NCC’s national cybersecurity and privacy conference.
* The NCC has the capacity to accommodate up to five teams on-site at its conference location, the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. On-site teams are expected to arrange their own accommodations and transportation.
1st Place
First place teams will be honoured at the NCC’s Conference opening reception with a prize presentation by Mastercard.

Participants must be enrolled at a wholly Canadian based post-secondary educational institution. All students will be currently registered and from the same institution.

All emails used in registration must be official post-secondary email addresses.

Teams must have between two and four players.

A maximum of two teams per post-secondary educational institution may participate. Teams will be accepted on a first-registered-first-served basis.

Up to 50 teams may participate.

When you are forming your team, aim for a mix of skills. A well-rounded team might include members skilled in web exploitation, cryptography, reverse engineering, and forensics. Clear communication and task delegation are key!
