National Cybersecurity Consortium Funds 31 Canadian Cybersecurity and Privacy Projects Worth a Value of Over $20.9 Million

CANADA, October 22, 2025 – The National Cybersecurity Consortium (NCC) is announcing a slate of 31 Canadian projects that will receive funding as part of its commitment to the Government of Canada’s Cyber Security Innovation Network (CSIN). The NCC has contributed $20.9 million toward cybersecurity and privacy projects generating $40.6 million in ecosystem activity. Funded initiatives are led by organizations within academia, industry, and the not-for-profit sector.

The need for innovation, talent development, and commercialization across Canada’s cybersecurity ecosystem continues to grow with the adoption of new technologies like artificial intelligence and quantum science. To address this growing need, the CSIN program supports projects by direct funding, and by facilitating Canadian organizations within the NCC network to collaborate. These partnerships are often cross-sectoral in nature and support the project financially or intellectually, in such a way that the intellectual property developed is retained in Canada.

In its third Call for Proposals, the NCC’s 2025 funded projects represent an economic contribution of over $40.6 million. These high-impact initiatives will further Canadian cybersecurity and privacy in three ways: training, commercialization, and research and development.
